My Labor Story
Many of you have heard, but there's many of you that have not. I know a few were asking so here's the re-post from myspace.
Monday, December17th, I woke up out of a sound sleep with contractions at 7am. Chris was already awake so I went downstairs to tell him. We started timing them and they were about 6 minutes apart. So, we called the Dr. and he told us to come on into the hospital. We packed up and went into triage for a labor check. They monitored me for about an hour. The contractions were definitely 6 minutes apart, but I was only 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Before they admitted me, they wanted me to 4 cm. So, they had me walk around the hospital for an hour hoping to have me dilate more. After the hour, they had me go back to triage. Unfortunately my contractions REALLY spaced themselves out. So...back home I went. We hung out the rest of the day at home still with contractions here and there. Chris went up to bed early because we had a long night the night before. He went up around 8ish. So, I hung out downstairs and watched TV. Around 10 I went up to wake him up because I was having more steady contractions and closer together. Again...back in we went :) I went into triage and this time I was 4 cm and 100% effaced. So, they admitted me. It was about 1am this time when I finally got into my own room. I was doing great and they ended up breaking my water at 7:15ish am with me 6 cm dilated. Up until that point I was feeling okay. I had been able to function in between contractions and stuff. But, once they broke my water....FULL STEAM AHEAD!! I went from 6 cm to ready to push in an hour. They didn't have time for any kind of drugs because she was coming too quick. 8:53am on Tuesday, my little angel was born. I had her out in 15 minutes :) I couldn't have asked for a better labor and delivery. Even though it was 26 hours, it went smooth and it actually wasn't too bad until the end. This was the best Christmas present I could've ever asked for.

First Mall Outing
So this is the first time where we actually went out with her for an extended period of time. I have taken her on a few errands and the most she's been out is an hour tops. But, today we actually went out for a bit. We were out during her feeding time, but she was an angel. No crying- no nothing. Stupid me, I brought the crappy bottle and forgot to bring the other one. She had a hard time getting the milk to come out...but she was so content. We got lucky. :) Everytime you go out....you keep your fingers crossed that there won't be screaming. Oh yeah, next time remember to bring the stroller. We thought it would be easier just to carry her in and out in her car seat. WRONG. LOL next time we are bringing the stroller. Well, off to change another dirty diaper and then put the baby down for a nap.

The First Posting
So like many others, I figured this would be a great way to keep everyone updated on our happenings. Now with the baby, everyone is dying to see pictures and asks how she is all the time. Mom and dad go out the window- ha ha :) When one of us has more time, we will update. Just starting out for now. We will keep you all posted :)
