Time has completely flown by. I can't believe how fast it goes now-a-days.
We are busy busy. The summer was great. We had a lot of good times and it was nice to see Mike & Trish and the kids as well last month. They came up for my cousin, Karen's, wedding. Quick picture insert :) Here's me & Alissa swimming in the hotel pool.
She was in her totally cute bathing suit from Masch and the girls. This was her first time in the pool and she LOVED IT!!!!!Anyway. Great to see the fam. We'll all be together again soon for David's wedding in June. Kinda nice considering it's been hit and miss over the years. We all made an agreement to get together once a year at a vacation spot starting in 2010. So..I guess I'd better start planning :) I know it'll be up to me to do all the coordination. ha ha.
Well the yard and such are all prepped for the winter. Now it's time to begin the inside. We did a little painting and stuff this summer but wanted to keep up with the outside. The bathroom and Alissa's room are all painted. We need to get curtians and a rug for the baby's room and then that is completely done. We're starting the living room this weekend. We want to get that room all painted and the carpet shampoo'd so we can re-arrange. That has to be done before we decorate for Christmas. We may let the kitchen go until after the Holidays. I think to get both of those rooms done before the Holidays may be a little much since we have a little one to watch now.
I'm actually ready for the Holidays this year. I think it was because I really didn't get to enjoy them last year. It was nice, but just unfocused because I was getting used to being a new mom. This year I am looking forward to doing the Holiday stuff like baking and such.
Alissa is getting big. Hard to believe that in a month and a half she'll be turning 1. She's crawling all over the place and pulling herself up. I'm almost done nursing and can't wait to resume my normal diet. Kinda nice though to be on the restricted diet...I've lost almost 50 pounds! :) But I do miss my dairy :) oh and snickers!! ha ha.
Alissa has so many cute quirks and I just love her to pieces. Best blessing of my life. I will get some more pictures of her and post them so you can see how big my baby girl is getting.
