Summer

Summer is flying by and here I've only done 1 post so far. This is my second. We are swamped with things to do this year. It seems as though they have all come at once!

We have had a great year so far.
Both Chris and I had our first parent's Days.
In May(for Mother's Day) Jim Delmege (Pasch to Alissa) came over to take pictures of the baby :) He did an amazing job!! Here's the link for those of you who haven't seen them.

The weekend of Father's Day, Alissa said "dada" for the first time. It was really quite a treat for him!!

In June, John & Robin came to visit with the kids. It was really nice to see them twice in 1 year. That doesn't happen often. Every since we all moved away, it's on rare occasions that we get together.

Lastly for June, we had Tommy's graduation. He was our old neighbor on Marion Street. We are so VERY proud of him!!!

July was just as packed. With the 4th of July it was a little different this year. We didn't go to Fireworks because Alissa is just too young. Kinda stinky because it's my favorite holiday...but what can you do. Chris's parent's came over for a great steak cook out instead :)

The 5th, Alissa had her very first play date. We got together with Becky & Ava. It was so nice! I can't wait until those girls get older and run around together. Too cute!!

Chris' Aunt Judy's 70th birthday party was at Canandaigua Inn on the Lake too last month. It was good to see those that haven't met the baby yet.

We also took Ashley & Jeffery to the Rochester Air Show. I figured I would share the whole album with you. The pictures were downsized to photobucket to make them easier to view. The big ones have GREAT detail and captured the moments!

August will be busy also. We have a wedding tomorrow for Matt Delmege. He is my very first friend ever..ha ha :) My cousin, Karen, is also getting married so I have her bridal shower this month as well.

The list goes on with other b-day parties, weddings, and events clear through the end of the year. How did life get so busy!?

Alissa is getting big as well. She's 7 1/2 months these days. She's not crawling yet (which is okay by me). She rolls EVERYWHERE. No teeth yet, but she does sit by herself for a bit. She still gets tired and flops right over when she's done sitting. But, don't let her fool you...she can hold her own :) She is eating three solid meals a day in her highchair. She LOVES chicken- just like grandma :) She is eager to try to feed herself. I only let her mess with the spoon if bathtime is approaching. :) She gets it in her hair, ears, and nose. :) Here's an updated picture of my peanut I took yesterday.

I am doing well also. I have lost all the baby weight and am actually skinnier now than before I had Alissa. :) It's a nice change, except I don't really fit into any of my clothes! ha ha!! This is the thinest I have ever been in a LONG time actually. Kudos to breastfeeding!! ha ha :)

Chris is doing great. He's busy working all night and then being a FANTASTIC dad to Alissa. He is such a blessing.

Well, that's all for now. I just wanted to post something since it's been a VERY long time. I'll post more pictures of our summer happenings soon!

Time Flies By

Time is just getting away from me lately. I guess this happens when you have kids. By the time I get home- there's dinner, feeding the baby, clean up and then it's time to put her to bed. Then I have to to get the baby to bed...by that time I am pooped. ha ha.

Things are going very well at the house. Alissa is 6 months old and rolling around EVERYWHERE!! She'll be crawling before we know it. It seems impossible that my little peanut is growing so quick!

We have a busy summer. Just about every weekend we have something going on. We have 3 birthday parties, 2 weddings, family coming in from out of town, a bridal shower..... so busy busy!

There will be picture updates soon. For now I wanted to at least put something on the board! :)

Been Awhile

So it's been awhile since my last update. A ton of things are going on over here these days.

For starters...I'm so proud of Dave. He graduated college this weekend. It was also the first time in 5 years everyone was together. Boy was it nice. Here's the family photo of us all...

Here's a picture of the happy Graduate :)

Alissa is getting big these days. Almost 5 months old. She's very animated and wants to be entertained 24/7. She gets bored easily. I think it's time for us to go buy some more toys :) She sits up really good now. Now on her own yet, but she does excellent in her highchair. She will be starting applesauce soon. I gave her a taste yesterday and her eyes lit right up!

Here's a quick video of Dave and Alissa. He was making her laugh histerically before this :)

Things on the home front are good, with the exception of a stupid accident I had on Sunday. The teenager decided to make a left hand turn from the right lane and I was in the left lane. She smacked right into my passenger side. So....now I'm waiting for a rental. :(

Other than that, things here are going very well. :)

Cereal

We started cereal for the little peanut. She was regressing her feeding time rather than spacing it out. So, we decided to start trying cereal. Here's the first time...
Most of it decided to go all over her though. Ha ha.

Teething... *sigh*

It has begun. I feel like the cranky period never ended. The Dr said around 3 months "fussytime" goes away. We have now transitioned from that into teething. * sigh* I can't believe it's already here. Most parents have a 3 month break from fussiness. But, our daughter is apparently on miracle grow. LOL. She's just about crawling and already teething..... man... I feel like it's all going so fast.

She has to wear a bib all the time now and if she doesn't she's a sopping mess. She drools like a champ. And she's does a great job of chewing her fist- ALL THE TIME. I have just introduced the cold teething rings, but she's not quite sure what to do with them yet. She likes them at first until she realizes that nothing sucks out of them. Then she gets quite discouraged. For the first time, tonight, I have tried baby Tylenol. I hope this will help relieve some of her discomfort. Lately she just wants to be held all the time and even then she's still uncomfortable.. :(
